Ava's 2 Year Pictures
Today we met Diane Bounds in Lancaster to take Ava's 2 year pictures. Besides that fact she takes amazing photos we love working with Diane and Ava feels totally at ease with her. We decided to take some photos in Steinman Park, near the fountain in Lancaster Square, Central Market and wrapped the photo session up at Musser Park. Ava loved being able to run around and explore all of the locations.

Busy Day ~ Anna and Daddy
This morning when I woke up Mommy had a surprise for me....she walked into my bedroom with Anna on her hip! I screamed ANNNNNAAAA! Aunt Amy and Uncle Rick had a day retreat at their church, so Anna was going to be at our house all day long. We had a great time eating waffles for breakfast, playing with my toys, snacking on Goldfish pretzels, watching a movie, walking into the farm for a visit, eating pizza for lunch and enjoying an afternoon lollypop. After Aunt Amy and Uncle Rick picked up Anna it was off to the airport to pickup Daddy.

2 Year Check-up
This morning Mommy, Daddy and I headed over to see Dr. James for my 2 year check-up. I loved playing with of the toys in the waiting room, but it was a different story when the nurse called my name! I didn't want to get on the scale, but after 3 attempts the nurse was able to get my weight. I wanted nothing to do with the ruler on the scale to see my height, so she had to measure me on the table. Dr. James didn't believe Mommy and Daddy that I know my alphabet and shapes...so he decided to test me. He drew a triangle and a few letters on his I-pad and then asked me to tell him what each one was.....I scored a 100%. The appointment ended with Dr. James telling Daddy to head out to the car because it was time for my SHOTS!
Stats:
Weight - 30 lbs. (80th percentile)
Height - 37 inches (0ff the chart)
Mommy and Daddy are always happy to hear I am growing and developing at a great pace..you would never know I decided to join the world a month early and was considered a late term preemie

Birthday Gifts
Ava has enjoyed spending the past couple of days enjoying her new toys and art easel. She dances with Brobee, reading up on all of the tools in her vet kit, changing the clothing on Mr. Potato Head and drawing on her blackboard.
Thank you for all of the wonderful gifts!

Ava turns TWO!
2 years ago today after a quick and relatively easy labor/delivery we welcomed AvaMarie Charlotte Martin to the world a month early. She had a few issue with low blood sugar the first couple of days, but was perfect in every way. We are amazed how fast the past two years have flown by and enjoyed watching our little sweet pea become an amazing little girl. Happy 2nd Birthday Ava....we love you and are sooo lucky to have you baby girl.
We decided to have a small birthday party for Ava with just the family. The weather was absolutely beautiful, so we were able to spend part of the party enjoying the sunshine! Happy Birthday Ava....we love you Mommy and Daddy
Wait did you just say today is my birthday?

Hey...did you hear it's my birthday!!

Easter Egg Hunt
This afternoon we headed over to Anna's church for an Easter hunt and magic show (we didn't stay for the magic show because we had to get ready for my birthday party). After the egg hunt we were given a token to pickout an Easter prize. I picked out a Dora ball and bat....Daddy will be soo proud : )
